Re: turbo on a 5th gen prelude

First things first, 450 whp is A LOT of power on an h22. Like holy **** balls a lot. You're looking at a completely built engine, fuel delivery, engine management and this all costs lots of $$... So just be forewarned. Your engine makes anywhere from 160-175 HP at the wheels stock... So you're looking at almost 3 times stock power.

This being said, things are going to break. You're going to want stiffer springs and traction bars to elimate wheel hop. you're going to want wider tires, possible semi-slick street tires in order to put that power to the ground. I doubt stock axles will be able to take 450 whp, so you would have to look into getting some stronger axles as well. A polyurethane bushing kit would make things a whole lot tighter and lastly you're going to want some solid motor mounts to reduce stress and sway from all that power in your engine bay.

Also, if youre into tracking your car, some aero parts such as a front and rear diffuser can help keep your back wheels on the ground and give you more hookup on your fronts as you corner. 4th gens are very light cars, so a lot of power in a light car needs lots of traction in order to maintain control of the car.
