98 BB6 turbo vacuum problem

Hello my setup is stock internals, 50 trim T04E @ 8psi, AEM fuel pump, 800cc injectors.. But my question is when I installed the Boost/Vac gauge "Autometer" I notice that vacuum numbers where to high almost 40-60.. Will this problem be that I'm starting my car with open down pipe? No codes from ECU, its only 100k.
Excuse me for my bad english.. Thanks

Re: 98 BB6 turbo vacuum problem

You're fine. When my car first starts it's at 23in-Hg, or around 58cm-Hg to you.

Moved to forced induction.
