350+ hp = which clutch?

I've been on the prowl for a new clutch lately. At my last pull I hit 381hp @ 324 ft/lbs tq and my clutch kept slipping in the power band. I have a ACT 6 puck on it now but looking to see if anyone has any better results without hitting the drag clutchs'. I havent seen any decent write-ups on this.

HDG6 - either I'm producing more power than I thought or this one is just not gripping like I want. Right now I'm not too impressed..

I use the twin version but I have spoken with Reid at Kaizenspeed and Chris at Xenocron about this clutch and you still get the better high RPM shift quality of the twin, it just doesnt hold as much power.

If you do any kind of racing at higher than stock RPM, the twin is incredibly nice and you will immediately notice the shift quality. And I happen to have one for sale that is practically new. It has a new flywheel too.

I want 700 for it. Thats for the complete twin disk package. This clutch retails for 1200 new and I have 1500 into it since i had to replace the flywheel. I had it in the race car but I am going H2B now and requires a different, more expensive clutch.

Re: 350+ hp = which clutch?

and if you want my honest opinion, this clutch is easier to drive than a puck clutch. Thats not me trying to sell my clutch, thats an experienced opinion.

the street clutch setups will be less expensive though.

Re: 350+ hp = which clutch?

Thanks for the info - however I cant afford that kind of machinery... not on a military budget.

My clutch pedal fell to the floor yesterday... I know it doesnt have anything to do with the grip of the clutch but it highlights my budget now.

Re: 350+ hp = which clutch?

I would have to say Stage 4 clutch? I believe, someone correct me if I am wrong, Stage 4 clutch can handle from 410 HP / Torque Capacity: 385 ft/lbs. It does depend on the brand tho. Stage 4 is very stiff
