Turbo blueprint.... i need some insight, and this is a budget build

here is the blueprint i have worked up so far for the turbo build on my 92 h22.
i still need engine internals, and i am probably going to bore it out, but not sure to what yet. any suggestions would be great! on a budget, but not to tight, only because the wife isn't going to be around when i get back from afghanistan ;)

Turbo: Garrett T3/TO4E 50 Trim
Manifold: OBX Turbo Manifold Header
Wastegate: Exteernal, OBX WASTEGATE INTIMIDATOR 38MM RED
Blowoff Valve: undecided
Intercooler: Yonaka Front Mount Intercooler Type 10 (22x 9x 3")
Injectors: RC Engineering 550cc High Impedance Injectors
Downpipe: undecided
Fuel Pump: Intank Walbro 255lph
Oil Lines: Stealthmode Perfomance plug and play bradid steel lines
Engine Management: Chipped Pherable ECU, Possible Hondata S300 System
MAP Sensor: AEM 3.5 Bar MAP Sensor
Throtle Body: Skunk2 70mm Alpha Throttle Body, D, B, H, F Series Engines
Exhaust Manifold: 92-96 Honda Prelude 2.2L Vtec Exhaust Header,OBX Racing
Exhaust: 92-96 Honda Prelude N1 Catback Exhaust System
Still looking around at guages, def. getting a boost, oil temp, fue pressure,
and water temp though. Also looking for intakes, preferably a dry filter setup.
I'm on a budget, so if you have any ideas on some cheaper parts that won't break
or deadline me let me know. I have the turbo and oil lines and all the flanges
and clamps already, just need everything else.

Re: Turbo blueprint.... i need some insight, and this is a budget build

I would definitely go with the s300 or NepTune RTP. Neptune is cheaper than Hondata and is just as good if not better. I would also suggest a wideband to add to your list of gauges.

Also, why do you have two different manifolds in your list for the exhaust?
Your best bet for a cheap yet effective exhaust is to have a shop weld one up for you. You can spend half as much and have one just as good as a store bought one.

Another thing, you are not going to see much of a benefit from that TB unless you are port matched to the IM. This setup would get you some more power but isn't really needed to go boosted. I would just skip over this if you are on a budget build.

I would also look into the GM 3bar MAP sensor if you plan on running more than 10psi. Its much cheaper than the AEM and should work fine if setup properly.

You can't put a budget on a turbo build :/

Also that's a pretty small turbo what's your HP goal
250-300?

Re: Turbo blueprint.... i need some insight, and this is a budget build

you can put a budget on a turbo build, some of us have families and other more important things to take care of, and i am only looking for 300 - 350hp with the turbo, after i can build the bottom end up a little better i have a bigger garrett to put in , i just didn't want to run the bigger one first, gotta see how the block holds up under the smaller one first.

Re: Turbo blueprint.... i need some insight, and this is a budget build

its not all stock, i have a yonaka gasket kit (headgasket and bottom end), skunk 2 pro series cam gears and cam shafts, and when i get back i am trying to find some new sleeves and pistons and i am going to port it before i instal the turbo, i think after all that it should handle 350 horses just fine, i just want to get a little bang right now, not looking to drag it, just to beat my buddies for right now, eventually though, if i ever win the f'n lottery, it will run on the strip, after my kid gets in highschool probably, free labor ;)

Re: Turbo blueprint.... i need some insight, and this is a budget build

A common thought on turbo conversions is to work out your end budget, then double it. Same with the time required. There are sundry small bits that take additional time and money that people don't realise need to be done. There's a great write up by twokex where he explains all that, have a read if you havent' already.

You appear to have done your homework, which is a plus - I'm so sick of reading posts that it's blatantly obvious the op has no idea what they're talking about.

Re: Turbo blueprint.... i need some insight, and this is a budget build

350 seems kinda high for a stock motor. I'm just looking for 260 with my Turbo set up, and stock block until I can build the motor
