Re: turbo time need some help

You need to go to a local performance shop that works on Honda motors and does turbo work. They will be able to funnel your attention to the right places based off of what you have said. You will have some choices to make but your car will be done right by a professional unless you were planning on doing it yourself. If the latter is the case then I would still go to a shop that does this all the time and buy some stuff from them even if it costs a bit more because they will be more willing to help one of their paying customers with questions about going turbo and when you get into a jam.

Am I the only one that's gonna ask why he wants 15 PSI right off the bat? Sure, I don't know what he's done to his engine; but something tells me it probably isn't able to handle 15 PSI...

Well, then be sure to at least get some better injectors and fuel pump...And tune the f*ck out of it (Hondata s300).

Specs (and pics!!!!) of that STi or else!!! But 20 isn't anything special on the tiny VF39 tho.

Also it sounds like you need to read up on PSI vs CFM. You can run 15psi on a tiny 14b turbo on an h22 and you'll barely make 240whp. The size of the turbo and much it flows is much more important than what psi you want.

^ 15 PSI on a smaller turbo will mean more torque though...HP really only relates to top speed; which is useless to him if this is his daily.

Re: turbo time need some help

i started off with 18psi because my bottum end is legit bulletproof and balanced. The only thing stock regarding my block is the oil pump and pan. We had to lower me down to 16 psi because the 750cc injectors were maxed out and the duty cycles were stressed.

If you wanna meet to buy the turbo ill drive out whenever, if its just to see the car ill be out there around april for a re-tune
