Re: turbo size

anything smaller than a t3/t4 on the h22 is not really a great idea (unless you use your car for auto-x events). I'm using a t3/t04e Garrett turbo on my h23vtec motor and it is perfect for the street. Full spool (14psi in my case) at around 3800, and power is carried all the way to 7300rpm without dropping off. Check out my dyno sheet in my sig to get an idea of what this turbo can do on the h22 / h23vtec. You can always go with a bigger turbo, but it would be more laggy and not too great on the street.
t3/t04e gets my vote for a daily driven h22.

thanks man .. that was at the wheels !!, and that was on a dynodynamics dyno (reads the lowest of them all). My tuner did a hell of a job.

The only way of getting crank/flywheel hp is by pulling the engine and hooking the engine up to an engine dyno. If the tires/hubs are what the dyno is attached to, its measuring whp ;-)
Unless it measures whp and can exactly guesstimate the parasitic drivetrain losses thru the tranny, which would be ****ing awesome cuz i'd love to know what the losses in my awd are hahaha

Re: turbo size

haha. i know how the separate dynos work. but i know people who built engines outside of cars and dyno'd that way, then put the engine in the car and re-dyno'd. then had accurate number or flywheel and wheel HP ;)

nah, its both. Size of turbo matters just as much as how you use your car and what kind of driving it will see most of. you're not gonna wanna use a straight T4 for auto-x, and you're not gonna wanna use a straight T3 for the dragstrip .. but I know you know that Nick

You'll be extremely happy with either of them, 57 trims are a bit more popular tho
