open dump tube

hi there
quick question (and probably really stupid)- if you run a open dump tube or screamer pipe would it not screw up the exhaust o2 sensor readings?

Re: open dump tube

I wouldn't think so. It should be reading the same amount of information about the exhaust, just less flow... which I'm pretty sure the oxygen sensor doesn't care about.

^ correct, just make sure that the dump tube end is below the oil pan and out of the engine bay or else the hot exhaust gases from the dump tube will get sucked back into the turbo.
I personally think its more baller to get it recirculated back into your exhaust, I like the sound of turbo spoolin' all the way to redline

i had recirc on the old H23T, and yea it was sleeper-status....

Re: open dump tube

Thanks for clearing that up. It was just one of those thoughts in the back of my mind. Open is surely the way to go in my opinion.
Cheers guys
