Hello my fellow luders!!!!!

Sorry haven't posted in a while. Been busy working non stop, and taking care of a couple issues (not spy relatated).

As some of you know, my prelude took a big dump on me and i have stored it for the winter not knowing what to do with it. I was reading and reading about all kinds of things i could of done to it. Came accross the G22. Then came accross the G23 and liked it more than G22. Went and bought a mint F23A4 block for $200.

The reason i chose this setup/hybrid motor is because of the iron sleeves, something different and a very boost freindly compression (about 8.6:1 with the h22 head, correct me if im wrong). Also I have almost every part to make this possible. So me and a buddy of mine work on it once a week, so the project is going very slowly.

Well long story short, this is where I stand:

Things Baught/Done:

H22A head with supertech flat valves (thanks to bustr!!!)
Plugged the 2 oil drain holes (Forgot the name of it, some sort of liquid steel rated at 2000F)
F23A4 Block, stock! 40k miles(Craigslist)
EVO 16G TD05HR Turbo (i know it is kinda small, but it was FREE)
ARP Head studs
OEM F23 Head Gasket
Crank Gear ( F23 crank timing gear was replace to a H22 gear)
G23 Water Pipe (Combined F23 water pipe with H22 wp)
G23 Water Pump (F23 Water pump with H22 gear)
F22 Tranny
New OEM Clutch
New OEM Flywheel

Things to come:
AEM Fuel Rail
Bigger Injectors
AEM EMS
FMIC
Custom TD05HR header (idk how to work around it)
Either Greddy RS BOV, or HKS SSQV
New Suspension (dont know what i want)
New Tires

lookin' good .. I would go ahead and replace that OEM clutch with something stronger now, you'll have to replace it anyways when your current one starts slipping ( ~ 2000 miles at ~ 210whp ) with that boost .. its just easier to do it now. Other than that, everything looks good, you've done some research and its always awesome to see the builder is the actual owner of the car, good luck with the build.

The clutch is actually a Exedy Stage 1, but i count it as an OEM.

Thanks guys, hopefully soon ill be able to afford AEM EMS and we will fire my baby up!

Whats up Rus? Had a lil financial problem. Just ordered a manifold, downpipe and a dump tube from Spooling Performance. Will take 4 weeks to build. And then im still missing all of the suspension work, injectors, valve train.

Now the question is Garrett .57 trim? or Super60? Me don't know. Same price.
is honda made for high impendence injectors or low? I'm trying to get RC 750cc with honda tops. And i believe they r high impendence. I'm terrible at wiring so want to buy injectors that will just be plug n play. And i got my hondata s300 :D

Never seen this build, I am very interested.

Question though, why did you go with flat valves on a turbo build? I know it probably doesn't matter too much because it is probably going to bump your compression from like 8.6:1 to around 8.8-9.0:1 but they also weigh a little more than the dish shaped valves so its a little harder to rev super high without getting valve float. Are you not planning on revving this super high?

Serge got sick. stopped production for a week. Also had to wait 4 weeks for manifold and downpipe to be made.

Never seen this build, I am very interested.

Question though, why did you go with flat valves on a turbo build? I know it probably doesn't matter too much because it is probably going to bump your compression from like 8.6:1 to around 8.8-9.0:1 but they also weigh a little more than the dish shaped valves so its a little harder to rev super high without getting valve float. Are you not planning on revving this super high?

At first I thought that I will just rebuild the original motor and continue driving the car. Ordered a bunch of parts, including the flat valves. Thought to have a little N/A build. Then other things happend and forgot about the car for 6 months. Started the project again, but with a different twist to it. So i assembled the head with what i've had. U cant really rev the G22's or 23's high because of the F block. I've researched online and ppl that done it said that F blocks r not high rev freindly and should be kept at original red line. Especially on a frankenstien build like this. I wish i've had more time on hand to finish this. Slow going process for me. This weather is killing a lot of time. CANT WAIT FOR WARMER WEATHER!!!!!

The H23Vtec hybrids on the other hand is sort of high rev.

Ah okay, and I know what you mean about it being slow project, mine is taking forever also, I want to drive mine already! And I have nothing against flat valves I was just asking, I am using flat valves in my build and I am not going to take mine past the stock redline. I do not know much about the G or F motors or really anything other than the H motors for that matter but I cant wait to see your finished product.
