Re: small 16g flange size?!

turbo's hate back-pressure in the exhaust. smaller diameter = more back-pressure.
stock is prolly 2 or 2.25" on that 16g.

SOMETIMESS, a tiny bit of backpressure paired with a turbo on the smaller'ish size increases torque, but hurts hp.
like in my case, 250whp, 275wtq @ 10psi, but that was with a STOCK cat and apex'i WS2 catback which was only 2.3" piping.
where-as in street_ride's case with a bigger turbo and 3" exhaust, made 292whp, 254wtq.

oh yea, moved to F/I

Re: small 16g flange size?!

thanx for the info.. but yea its the stock 02 housing and the exhaust on my car is 2.25".. i believe.. but also has a 3" inlet and 3" turbo dyno max muffler.
and everywhere i go i can never find the right size flange.. it looks like 2" to me but him sayinng 2.5" got me all mixed up..

Re: small 16g flange size?!

so just measure the diameter of the tubing of the o2 housing right before the flange.

Re: small 16g flange size?!

personally i wouldn't. you don't need a FPR, tho. so i'd sell that and buy a walbro for $95
