well, im kinda scared about my first dyno tune,

300 dollars for unlimited pulls,
50 dollars to put my hondata s100
towing less than 75
by monster motorsports winston salem NC

im kinda scared about the first dyno tune.. I'm planning to run 7 psi..on stock internals, i do know the rings will go bad, but usually after a year, and I am putting the car for sale like after a month after this is done.. but besides that
i just wanna see what kind of power.. or predictions i can get?
and what to look forward to for my first dyno tune

i know loud and stuff like that, and costly stuff,
everything is great on my car, it does start up etc, and fuel sufficient, but everyone is right about getting tunes and everything, since i got my p28 from phearable the tune is a must! :D!
so what should i expect from my very first dyno, i will have vids of course!

and one more thing, running rich?
what does it mean to run rich?
i read on preludeonline that its better to run rich then not at all,

so i'm not looking forward to getting bashed. just wanting some reassurance.

Re: well, im kinda scared about my first dyno tune,

that's weak dude, you're already planning to sell your car after all of this ?
and I'm sure that 300 will only get you like 6 pulls on the dyno, tuners have other cars to tune throughout the day, not only yours.
Expect .. ( and don't be upset or anything at this ) .. to pay the tuner more money so that he can fix all your problems as are they are discovered throughout the tuning process. Some tuners will not bother and send you home. Expect everything on day 1.

So let me get this straight floww. You come on here. You ask all kinds of questions to these nice people that know about boost. We help you. Then you go and say you are selling it because you know the ringlands will go bad? So you are selling a timebomb to an unsuspecting person, AFTER wasting all of not only our, but YOUR time. And alot of Your money. Whats the point?

How about this. Save yourself some cash and DON'T get yours tuned. I'll give you cash RIGHT NOW. For your turbo, IC, injectors, fuel pump, and anything else turbo related. And I'll send you the stock ones and some cash.

Go buy a fuckin civic.

Nahh dude, you're not selling it. You'll get addicted to boost just like the rest of us. Especially considering you built that car.

yea all of this seems like a real douchebag thing to do. You should of learned a little more about cars in general before you came here wanting to put a turbo on a stock prelude engine. WTF i knew what "running rich" was when i was 10 years on riding a dirt bike!!! Some things and some people just amaze me at the stupid **** they will do at times. I think you have made more than a few people here pissed off with this 1 post, and i can already tell by almost all of your post that you deffinetly HAVE pissed alot of people off here. I say goodbye and good riddance. Sell the car and leave. Let the people that want to learn what they need to know and have the time and patience to put into a build be regulars on this forum. Ok sorry for the rant

Its harsh for a reason. After all that, he didn't even know what running rich meant. He learned to identify the pieces. If a guy doesn't know what running rich or lean is then he obviously didn't learn. Sorry to say...

Re: well, im kinda scared about my first dyno tune,

have to sell it to pay for dads medical bills,
2 me its like an ultimate sacrifice, giving my dad something in return. plus, a car isnt everything.. its material object..

sometimes i just forget and start panickin n shi't because its boost and so much stuff about blown up engines n everything, i mean atleast i thank for help n ****.
yeah i did learn, and im thankful to everyone. but, if im like a waste of time n stuff, i guess sometimes people forget that there is another human being on the otherside of the internet. nothing puss about it, just saying. but, well, @flipflop, why the hell not, i mean it was given to me just wanted to do it right aha,

well, i posted a thankful thread earlier before, but i guess eh now, you understand how people are, not that patient, (not saying about few people, just in general) and just something you gotta learn in life,

but thank you for all the replies, and stuff, just been using this project to clear my head about medical/family/bills/college, i mean more people have it so rough then i do, but i do it have it pretty tough, but like i said man,
thank you all for replies, and will have last pics posted after dyno or w.e

deuce.

Re: well, im kinda scared about my first dyno tune,

So long as your tuner is experienced with the H series you should be fine. I have run 14 psi on stock internals no problem before. The thing that damages the ring lands is excessive cylinder pressure. Knock and EGT are super important in tuning the car properly. If he can monitor those and knows how to tune then you should be fine.
