2000 prelude revhard turbo just installed temporary base tune no dyno

Thank you for taking the time to help me with this. I have a 2000 lude with a 95-96 jdm h22a engine installed as well as a recently installed revhard turbo kit. by and extremely reputable and knowledgeable shop whom specializes in hondas. My stock 2000 ecu is still in there and I believe it is malfunctioning and so do they. The car ran well when they just installed the engine (I drove it for a day then dropped it back off for the turbo kit to be installed). With the kit installed, the car runs pretty crappy. As a short temporary fix until I have them tune it, what do you guys think about getting a chipped p72(they recommended that as well), with a base map for my set up. There is a reputable guy on ebay (100% feedback for plenty of honda ecu base tune sales, happy customers). He can chip a p72 with a base map for my set up and get pretty close he said to what I need, and at the very least have it running better than it is now. They retarded the timing 4 degrees because it was misfiring as well. Any info or opinions would be great. Thank you again.

I would go get a hondata s300. My freind has a 437 horsepower lude with that chip and he says it runs great

the REASON it isn't running properly is because the stock ECU wasn't meant to control the different injectors, MAP, fuel rate/pressure, not to mention the different air/fuel maps that are now needed for the engine since these engines were NEVER turbo'd.

you absolutely NEEEEEDDDD a different, tunable ECU, a p72 with a basemap is perfect. guaranteed the engine will run a thousand times better with a basemapped ECU.

altho i would stay away from ebay. there are two extremelyyyyyyy reputable and reliable companies that basemap almost any chippable Honda ECU;
Xenocron Tuning: Fuel Management and DIY Tuning Resource Center for Honda and Acura Performance - Hondata, eCtune, Neptune, Crome, TurboEdit, Uberdata

Updated fuel injectors with the stock ecu would **** it up, bit I was looking at the rev hard turbo kit today and I didn't see any fuel injectors in the kit just fuel pump. Would the stock ecustill **** up with an updated fuel pump?

absolutly Yes! there has to be a a difference in flow... (different injectors, compensated on the map... more fuel pressure on stockers, if only 4-6 psi)
Basically a Bigger pump (255) will flow all the fuel in the world... but if it "bottlenecks" down to stock INJ's and a Stock (non-chipped) ECU... ur gonna have some MAJOR issues...

My Advise...
DSM 450 blacktops, (why? cause their dual spray) and only about $60 EVERYWHERE
and Chrome (cause it's free... and I made 1000cc's run perfect)... Or Hondata if u have the cash.
