02 wideband?

where would be the ideal place to install the o2 sensor bunge? reght after the turbo? or would it be ideal to have the sensor a bit for down so any extra carbons could burn out for proper reading? i know the ideal place for an egt sensor is as close the exhaust mani as possible. and my turbo downpipe i have has a bunge installed for the egt but could i put the o2 wideband there?

Re: 02 wideband?

mine is in the stock o2 sensor bung, right before the flexpipe. pretty sure the WB instructions say at least 18"(or some other figure) away from the turbo.

Re: 02 wideband?

you want a wideband as close to the turbo as posible, without getting too close to fry the sensor. Your reading maybe off a bit if you put it further back. The aem wideband i have says at least 18" of manifold.
