General Modding

I am having an issue researching where to find certain parts. I already read the Sticky on a whole list of aftermarket parts but I can do the research to find what turbo I would like but where the hell would I find the piping? IC? also is there a thread that list's parts/ platforms for "safely" modding? like what parts you need to upgrade in order to run 12 psi boost safely?

I wonder what the rev hard custom turbo kit would put me at on the 1/4th. if anyone has a good clue on a 5th gen H22 w/ the rev hard turbo kit track times, please mention it. anthing, just to give me a good clue.

Re: General Modding

IC, piping, and couplers can be cheap ebay parts. just get quality T-bolt clamps so your not blowin off pipes everyday.

manifold; if you want a cheap log, go ebay.
if you want a nice custom one, there's plenty of fab'rs around, you just gotta decide if you wanna ditch AC and/or PS

downpipe; sometimes come as a package w/ the manifold if it's a custom one. if not, is gonna hafta be custom from an exhaust shop.

other stuff such as injectors, ECU, wastegate, BOV, etc, can also be ebay as long as you know how to look for legit parts, or other forums classified sections. the more boards your on, the more you'll find. honda-tech has a huuuuugeeee classified and marketplace/vendors section.

well thanks, guess ill have to sign up at hondatech as well. this is so funny cause i dont even own a honda but a prelude build would be a sleeper DD during the day and a track beast at night. just looking up some track times.

I agree Ebay parts will be fine on most of a turbo set up but i wouldnt cheap out on turbo and wastegate. Just get a nice used garrett turbo and brand name wastegate and the rest can be whatever IMO. I have built several kits and from my expirence (might be just luck of the draw) the BOV work fine and pipe is pipe.. Intercoolers can be ok as long as your just running low boost (wouldnt use an ebay intercooler for 15psi on t3/t4) You can get some used rc injectors or simular. Clamps can be whatever for low boost or just flair the intercooler pipe ends a bit if your worried. Just do your research and you should be fine.

i've ran a 14.2 w/ my old H23 at 5.8psi, and 14.7 w/ my current F22 @ around 7-8psi, but i know i prolly coulda hit 14.4'ish. on street tires.
