**SHOULD BE MOVED TO FORCED INDUCTION, I APOLOGIZE**

Which port would be best for me to run the BOV on? I know on the Intake Mani but which one or line do i T off from if so... or does it even matter... new to boost ..

Started off at 1 k but then started going up on all the extra parts I was needing, fuel pump, injectors, radiator, fan, downpipe...etc... so now up to about $1700 and that's not including the tune or hondata I want to get.. or maybe I'll go crome.. I dunno.. The cost may be going up real fast...

Re: Really dumb question but I am a newb (Boost BOV)

doesnt matter. If you want to get a golden eagle vac manifold http://www.robearracing.com/prod_images_large/aa47.jpg
You hook that into the vac line comming off your brake booster and you can used it for your bov, boost gauge, and wastegate.

Re: Really dumb question but I am a newb (Boost BOV)

bov is usually placed on the intercooler piping right before the intake manifold.

not sure why you would want it right on the intake manifold itself.

actually its usually on the intake manifold, not IC piping. it needs to see a dedicated vaccuum source, which charge piping is not.

your thinking of wastegates that are usually on the piping.

vacuum is vacuum. just make sure the pairing source has the same inlet diameter as the one on the bov

Re: Really dumb question but I am a newb (Boost BOV)

well mostly everyone uses the IM as a vacuum source since the nipples are already there and extremely convenient to use, instead of welding nipples to the IC piping if there aren't any. (it also looks cleaner to the IM, personally)

also try to avoid tee'ing into other vac lines if at all possible.

kinda wrong there. I have seen people hook up the bov to the waste gate and that is a big NO NO. Just thought I would throw that in there.

lmfao the first time i read this when i was pretty tipsy (tinyy bit more sober right now) it kinda made sense, cuz i thought you meant the bov was TEE'ED into the WG line, which is still pretty damn bad, but possibly plausible?... maybe not...

now rereading it, my mind is about to explode thinking about that scenario hahahaah

its not easier. just taking a vaccum hose run it from the bov... and hook it up to the intake manifold. right after the throttle body there are usually two or three vaccum nipples on the top of the intake manifold. one of those nipples are usually capped off. pick one... and hook it up. sorry its not very complicated.

when i boosted my friends b18 he had a nipple coming off the condenser side of the turbo. thats what he used to go to the boost controller then the solenoid from the boost controller were hooked to the BOV and Wastegate
