what rpm do you reach full boost?

hi there
sorry i tried to search for the answers but couldnt find what i wanted,
anyway, im curious to know at what rpm does your prelude reach full boost? i know thats a vague question because it all depends on each persons set ups but im trying to get a rough ideal how fast everybodys turbo spools.
cheers
Rich

Re: what rpm do you reach full boost?

depends on wayyyy too many factors like engine, turbo, what your particular max boost is, etc.

mine is right around 3250, for both 6 and 10psi. which = muchooo fun on the street

Re: what rpm do you reach full boost?

except 90% of everyone don't wanna go through the trouble of the simple arithmetic to plot a coupla points on the maps. they'd prefer to get spoon-fed which turbo they want

Re: what rpm do you reach full boost?

i know it all depends on the set ups, and i know its a very vague question, but was hoping a few people would post up what rpm their motor is at roughly when full boost.
so lets say a typical street set up running between 6 - 10 psi what would you ball park full boost rpm

Re: what rpm do you reach full boost?

why be so awkward? i know it was a vague question but only because your looking to far in to what im asking, twokexlv6coupe managed to give me a decent answer, he said his is around 3250 rpm, the kind of answer i was after.
was just asking for some of the boosted guys to post up their full boost rpm and psi of boost. doesnt have to be complicated.....

Re: what rpm do you reach full boost?

my post was valid. I gave you an answer that gives you an ultimate answer to your 1000 answer question.

Without people posting full turbo specs, posting the boost and what rpm they reach it at means absolutely nothing and contributes nothing to learning nothing about buying a turbo that suits the needs of anyone reading this thread.

Re: what rpm do you reach full boost?

by god this man's a genius.^ thank you blake. i couldn't have said it better myself. he does have a point. especially that second part. though i would replace the 3rd 'nothing' with anything.

but with that being said, the fact that this thread contributes nothing means its being closed.
