JackonRacing Supercharger on a Auto LUDE

hey.. guys.. i was just wondering if there was any body out there that had a supercharged prelude that is auto.. i was just wondering what kind of cash i would be looking at if i got one.. and how much MORE work it would be to put the supercharger in because of the auto tranny

and i don't want o hear.. from people that i should do a tranny swap then do the supercharger... i want to be different so i want to stick with the tranny i know im not going to see the same # as a 5speed but..

thankz

Hey it can be done.
But...

your auto transmission(as you know) cannot take the constant abuse that a supercharged motor will give it.
What you need to do is reinforce your auto tranny with a better, stronger torque converter...basically, you need to make your auto tranny, "BULET PROOF" to run that awesome noise. For drag, auto trannies is (idealy) better.

good luck.

Honda auto trannies are known for failure, even when you dont abuse them. There was also an extended warrany on the 5th gen autos.
To answer the dude's question, yes it can be done. prelude13 covered all I was going to say.

damn alcoholics lol.

it can be done. but understand that your not just putting your tranny at risk. you're putting your motor at risk too. you be stuck using the gr fuel management crap that it comes with.

yet i have been looking on the net and i still havn't found anything about how i really can beef up the auto tranny? in order for it not to blow.. and as for fuel management i was told that i would be able to use the aem standalone... so i wouldn't have to be stuck with the jr stuff..

You could use a AEM standalone, which is effective, but extremely expensive ($1200).

I would rec. a trans cooler if you want to S/C your Lude and still daily drive it. A torque converter isn't too bad of an idea either. You can get one from Level 10 if you are leaning that way.
