Icon10 What management are you running???

okay well we have a couple threads about turbo but lets start something w/ the importance of engine management and tuning.

from what i know there are a few types people use to tune their turbo/supercharged/nitrous preludes.

piggybacks: an electronic controller that is wired or spliced in w/ the factory ecu. these control the air/fuel compensation by manipulating the signal produced by the map sensor/throttle position senor/vtec/injector wiring to the ecu.
apexi super afc
apexi vafc
greddy fic
apexi power fc
apexi neo
greddy emanage

these are the cheaper way to tune. I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THEM W/ BOOST. some people can disagree and have proof on these actually working but i had one time used it and ended up killing my motor. i would recommend these more for the NA crowd.

chips/roms: replaces the rom inside of an obd1 computer like the p28. which allows for maps to be burned over and over again. these maps alter the air and fuel compensation and a couple of added extras.
xenocron
uberdata
chrome

then you have standalones: replacement computer that can alter almost every sensor reading, change timing, fuel compensation, air compensation, over boost protection, data logging (recording of current driving to help fine tune/ or figure out trouble areas), much much more.

Neptune
hondata s200/s300
aem ems

these are what i would strongly recommend. i started out w/ hondata s200 and just recently upgraded to the s300 w/ boost control and boost by gear.
yes boost by gear.... each gear you select the amount of boost you are running... this will set us way ahead of other boosted cars, making the traction issue a thing of the past.

please if you are running turbo/supercharge/nitrous post up what your are using for management and what it offers. also if i missed anything we can clear it up.
