Icon2 Compression F22A

Im considering buying a custom bolt on turbo kit for my fourth gen prelude. If got the F22A Sohc non Vtec lump. Not going for drag power, just want a quicker roadcar. Is the F22A compression Turbo friendly?? what is the Ratio??

Yes. Very Turbo friendly. That guy above me has a turbo on his BONESTOCK f22. Too bad he's a greasy dego mario lookin ugly bastard. The f22 handles boost better stock than any of the other motors offered in ludes..

Re: Compression F22A

Started with the preperation of my F22 yesterday. I decided to go with a Eaton M62 Supercharger from the Mercedez 320 compressor models. Reason being, Ive had this charger forever and rather than buying a bolt on turbo kit, Im gonna put this blower to use.(probly gonna regret not going turbo later)

Heres the supercharger:

Some 650cc injectors all cleaned and as new:

Going with a local engine management system as heres alot of support around.(pics to come)

Removed the head to inspect the engine block and to fit a cometic head gasket for further safety(no detonation wanted here)

Local honda head, goes by the name- Twiggy....dont ask

no more memory on my phone, will post more pics after deleting these...hehehe!

Will start with fabricating brackets an boos pipes soon. Yes, this is a super budget build

Re: Compression F22A

Some more pictures.
I dont get anything done during the week, so i'll most likely update weekends only.

The supercharger after cleaning:

Block still looks very good- no abuse here:

OK, got my head back from the engineers, had it ported, new valves installed and pressure tested... it came back pretty clean:silly:

old Head gasket:

New Head gasket:

Nice and thick to drop the compression a bit more:

got the new goodies installed last night.

so preperation is done, installation begins this saturday: plan is to mount the supercharger on the A/c location and have boost pipes routed through a FMIC..because i can. I know this is not the ideal supercharger set up, but it will do.
