I made a mistake. I was the proud owner of a 1995 Honda Prelude SE.



From there I did small modifications such as sway bar, audio, and other small things. Then my first mistake.. I got a body kit :frown:



Well after realizing my mistake I saved up and got me a nice WWRS lip kit. :cool:



This would be the last picture I will ever take with my lude.




This is where mistake number 2 came in. I drove a 1995 Eagle Talon TSI a year prior to getting my lude. It was quick as hell and i liked it. So I ended up trading mine for a 1995 Eagle Talon TSi AWD.



After a few months, this is where I got.



Now I realized that a DSM turbo wasn't worth it and I'm on a quest to try to find someone either local, craigslist, etc. to trade for a clean lude. Right now I am in the mist of looking. I hope to find one soon. I really do miss it and I can't really believe what I did.Wish me luck on my quest and try not to blast me too much on my past decisions. So I'm on my way home on the highway (95) when I get the urge to show up the supra behind me (old women driving it, of course she didnt bite), and shift into 4th and run the vtec for a bit. Went into 5th with it still engaged, bout 110, then slowed down.

**I'm well aware the supra would eat me if they wanted to. Anyway...

I hear a click click click, and I thought one of my lights was hanging (I have a loose blinker). So I pull over, and behold, I have rips in my alternator belt. I tried to make it home, but once I got going it just slipped completely off. Battery light was on, car would slightly rev itself when at a stop. Not happy. =/

So here's what happens:
The light on the cruise control button will turn on when i push it, but when i push the set button on the steering wheel, the cruise control button wont light up on the dash.
I know this is a problem in a lot of 4th gen ludes, and ive heard that there may be a leak in the vacuum hose from the cruise control, but i dont really know how to check it.
I have no idea what could be going on.
Please help.

I recently acquired a 1993? i think SR-V ? prelude I'm not too sure, I have to check. Anyway It's in pieces, needs a new shortblock (H22A is what it had before), and that's it. It has brand new Tein racing springs, MSR rims, and some body kit that needs to go on. I don't really care about the body, I just want to get the car running, so I will probably chime in pretty soon with photos and questions with this project. I'm completely new to hondas, the only wrong wheel drive car I have owned is a maxima. Oh yeah, I have all the paint and supplies to paint it some arctic grey the PO bought, and have a painter friend, so I'll probably do that too. I might just get lazy and primer the car and then flat black it since I don't feel like spending money on the car. The car has been sitting for a winter in the garage, so the plan is:

1) clean in out
2) find an H22
3) assemble H22and drop it in
4) Flush all fluids etc
5) put on the front and back bumper/kit
6) Paint/drive it.

Had an accident at work and was off work for awhile so not much has been done to my lude. I let my cousin borrow my car for a day and he brought it back with fuel leaking from the tank! :mad: From what I can see it's a very tiny leak/hole (it's a very slow drip). I know there's repair kits for this I'm just wondering if anyone has used one before and what results they've had with one? I've just gone back to work last week so a new tank would be something I would have to wait on a little and working on a car with a cast is not so convenient so this is my only choice right now. I have a chance to buy a 93 Si for $600. from a friend of a friend. Only problems I'm seeing are it has near 200,000 miles, needs some body work and it's auto. I have driven it twice already and have heard no knocking or seen other issues with it so far. My question is will the cost of those two things which I know will need replaced outweigh the thought of only paying $600. for it? I'm sure there's chances of more being wrong with it down the line but those are the major money things as of right now. Should I try to pull the knuckle (remove calipers, speed sensor and a half dozen other things) or is there another option.

But my 92 si right now has some sort of knock or tick in the engine (h23) and the body of mines is in way worse shape and the trannys sh*t, so if i bought this lude for $550 and if valves were bent could i jus replace the head? Im taking auto body at my tech center this year so i could do body work there :biggrin: i was just wondering if this seemed like a good deal to all you guys out there whether i fix it and drive it and use mine as parts or vice versa?

Basically what happens is when I hit the brake pedal it pops the fuses which also cuts out my horn and cruise control because they are on the same fuse. I've tried everything and nothing is working. The weird part is sometimes if i put a new fuse in it will work for a day at the most then stop. When the fuse blows you can tell there is a huge power draw because the dome light etc dims right down till the fuse pops so within like 5 seconds. I just had a brilant idea today. I haven't actually looked at the wiring near the brake lights them selves. Just the under dash wiring. So i looked at it today and i noticed a few things a) on each side i notice a a pair of wires that split off and go into a hole run under where the trunk locks into and then out the other side into the harness for the other light. What are those wires for? b) noticed so electrical tape on some of the harness wires that plug into the brake lights them selves so i'm thinking someone must of done something back there before and c) the house for our brake lights is so different compared to other cars. it looks like i have to take the whole housing out before i can actually change the bulbs and there is some sort of box hidden within the housing that has do with the power or something what is it?
