need help removing rear seats! google cant help :(

so i am trying to remove my rear seats in my 5th gen. i can lift the cushion up from the middle of the seat, and feel the tabs. they are shapped like a T with the top part of the T facing towards the front seats. i cant seem to remove thoose tabs for beans! i keep pulling at them, even while lifting the cushiona nd they wont budge. i do have the leather interior, dont know if it makes a difference. do i have to remove the top/backs of the seats before the bottom? or can i just pull out the bottom on its own?

The bottom comes out on its own. If you are having trouble, try gently pulling up and forward with needle nose pliers. You will feel them click out of place, just have someone hold the side you pop out first while you get the other side so it doesn't click back in place. Once you have it out you'll see how the clips work and how deceptively easy it actually is.

you need to push DOWN on the seat before pulling the locking tabs.

Someone needs to add to the main thread on rear seat removal that the leather ones have the different retaining clips, and that needle nose pliers should be used as well as gloves!

I sliced my finger pretty dang good trying to get the clips off the tabs for the bottom portions of the seats. Was a pretty big piss off.
