Self-made Unique dash kit

I got bored this weekend and tired of looking at the adhesive where the dash kit was removed by the previous owner. So I took it off, cleaned it up, sanded it down, and this is what I came up with. I just had to do something unique!

Is that black with white stripes? Or white with black stripes?

Very unique

Re: Self-made Unique dash kit

It's white with black stripes! Not too ugly I guess, I tried really hard to keep the stripes flowing as much as possible. It'll work for awhile. I can't believe all the different patterns in duct tape these days. I'd rather save my money for more important things, like gauges and a blue top battery to match the cai and header.

Re: Self-made Unique dash kit

...an Optima bluetop to match your CAI?

It'll work, but I'd recommend a Kinetik 1400 over an Optima bluetop. I have a Kinetik in my car, and it's pretty stout.

Re: Self-made Unique dash kit

I sell Hensley Deka batteries through my company, and will try to go through them first since I'll get such a deep discount as a wholesaler, but I looked at the Kinetik online, and will keep it in mind. Thank you for the recommendation!

Re: Self-made Unique dash kit

A Kinetik is a good battery from what I've seen but I'm a fan of Odyssey batteries. Mostly because I sell them and I know from first-hand experience they are a kick-ass battery. From what I can tell Odyssey is basically the same thing as Kinetik, but Odyssey has a much better warranty. Also Sears has their Die Hard Platinum batteries made by Enersys, the manufacturer of Odyssey, and they are pretty much the same thing. They are less expensive and have the same warranty as an Odyssey.

Optima batteries quality has gone downhill since Johnson Control's acquisition of them. I wouldn't recommend them anymore :(
Edit: Unless you want it for the color of the lid :)

Re: Self-made Unique dash kit

D.....priceless!! Haha!

BLOND1WD...that really looks awesome! At first I thought it was printed vinyl not duct tape! Lol Very creative.

Kinetik is a very similar design and manufacturing to the Odessey. Both being very good and the only battery you should spend good money on. Whenever either of my battery go t.u. they will be replaced by Odessey. Worth the dough.

Thanks guys! I just wanted something to make it stand out a bit, but other than the armrests, I'm stopping there; any extra would just be overkill. I will def keep the battery recommendations in mind.
