New steering wheel?

I really want to replace my stock wheel with a smaller one. I think I am set on the Nardi challenge/deep dish and an NRG hub, I don't need the quick release (although it would be sweet). Any tips or advice on the install? Anyone done this on a 5th gen? I am still doing research so anything helps!

Re: New steering wheel?

most people swap for the s2000 (s2k ap1 ) steering wheel for comfort. get the ap1 , not ap2 ! 5g S2k Wheel Install

Re: New steering wheel?

Ok so I need to do more research but it sounds like there are very few compatible steering wheels? The reason I was going with the Nardi is I am getting it for free (my hubby is replacing his and giving me the old one). I like the dimensions of it and how small it is. The only reason I even thought about doing it is because I drive his car and love how small and comfortable the wheel is! Do you know the dimensions on the s2k wheel?

Re: New steering wheel?

Define compatibility.

The compatibility between steering wheel and car is almost entirely driven by airbag fitment. From memory the Nardi you're thinking of doesn't have one? In which case a boss kit for almost any late model Honda would work.

Re: New steering wheel?

yeah a local h22 owner has an ap1 wheel on his 5th gen and it looks so nice as if it's suppose to be there.
Also corrrect me if i'm wrong but aren't ap1 steering wheels a smaller diameter than preludes too?
