Re: 4th gen + recaro help

What you're going to want to do is take the sliders and bracket off your seats and then weld them onto the new recaro's. That is the only way I have ever seen it done.

Re: 4th gen + recaro help

ok cool thanks for the reply so your saying that the oem sliders can perfectly fit on to the recaros rails? sorry man if that sounded confusing or do you have to weld the sliders to the recaro rails? but for the next noob question since its welded will it be able to slide freely back and forth??

Re: 4th gen + recaro help

Recaro make a set of rails to fit those seats into a BB6 (fifth gen). I imagine that they would also make a set for the BB1-4 chassis.

Re: 4th gen + recaro help

Look up Wedge engineering.

I know the brackets are $100 a peice.

I had some recaro speeds but sold em before I got to install them.

U can get recaro speed seats new for $6xx each. I'm eventually gonna get some speeds for my cars. If u get 2 new speed seats expect to pay about $1300 for the seats and around 300 brackets and all.. Or u could bring it to a shop and have them weld everything

Also the red or black itr recaros are recaro srd seats.. They are discontinued I believe and the speed seats are their replacement. Red speed seats are about $950 each but you get the black with red stitching and lettering for $600 something. Pm me if u want to know the cheapest AUTHORIZED dealer
