5th Gen Interior Rear Deck Removal

Hello to all! I am a complete newbie to this forum.
I just bought a 1997 Base Prelude and will be posting
a few questions sooner or later. One that has been
nagging me though is the proper removal of rear deck
inside of the car (rear speaker panel). Does anyone
know how to remove it without messing up anything?

I don't remember that being paticularly hard. The speaker grilles have metal/plastic retainer clips and I may have had the quarter pannels and back seat out of the way at the time.

Thanks for the quick response. I figured the back seat would have to
come out but never thought about the rear quarter panels.

You should probably have the third brake light. Push the housing upwards towards the window then pull back and that snaps right out!!!

Then follow the instructions mentioned above to remove the speakers and covers!!!^^

The third brake light is just sitting in place with nothing holding it.
Couldn't find a power connection for it anywhere. I plan on putting
down a nice leather or vinyl on the rear deck to replace this faded
carpet. Thanks for the help guys.
