Re: instrument cluster questions

there is no way to change it. you should not have to write your mileage down though. regardless of the needle working or not you have a light that indicates when you are low. i recently found out that w/ that light on you can drive for at least another 35 miles. lol.

True because we have 14.1 gallon tanks and the low fuel light comes on at 2.1 gallons...or so says the front of the owners manual lol. Anyway, Have you checked the sending unit? If thats gone bad that will cause your fuel gauge not to work and would be hella cheaper than getting a new cluster. I'd look into that first bro. But no, if you get another cluster you cannot change the miles on the odo(or at least I've never heard of it being done successfully...)

Did he plug everything back in? It's a really tight space back there so it could've happened.

Re: instrument cluster questions

More than likely he pulled the needles out of the base instead of removing the plastic clip...if so, the speedo is toast no matter what you do.

Here is a few pics of the unit I am re-building (it's a secret..lol)

Hit a couple of prelude forums, there is always someone parting a car out.

OR, maybe this is the time to consider a new/custom instrument cluster.
