Re: Interior Refurb Project

Keep in mind I had the thick rubber backing applied to my carpet for sound deadening purposes. While I recommend it, it will cause you some extra work... and frustrations.

With that being said, the cut of the carpet was dead on, but there was certainly some trimming required..... there are a few shapes where it is molded to go up on the "tranny hump" and by the doors. These are complex angles and require some patience and knowledge about upholstery to cut so it does not cause an unsightly seam.

Do it on a warm/hot day and DO give the carpet some time to warm up and relax a bit. The total removal of the interior is Highly recommended. It will make the install much easier and you have an opportunity to clean up the whole car! LOL!

I honestly admit I could have done better but over all I am very happy with the quality of the carpet kit and the very noticeable improvements, visually and audibly.

Re: Interior Refurb Project

This should be stickied. This is EXACTLY what I will be doing once I get the Mechanical bits fixed on my project.

Bravo, Chica.
