Need Opinions On New Retrofit

Hey guys so after having my Lude for 7 months now im finally able to put some money into it for recreational purposes. Im upgrading the lights and would like to know what you think would be the best color to paint the shield in the retrofit light as well as what color angel eye would look best on the car (white or amber). The car is dark green check out my album if you need to see what it looks like.

Yea ust got all the parts ordered and hopefully it will all be here by the weekend. Im blackin out the G37-R shroud puttin white halo's in em, blackin out the inside of the light shell (turn signal included), and blackin out the inner shield so the lense looks black when the lights are off. Check back throughout the week to check on the progress im currently in the process of restoring my headlights. Figured i'd fix my poor car's eyesight. :)

What type of projectors did you go with? I'm getting a new set of stock headlights and doing retrofits on them this spring with fx-r bi-xenons and 6k 55w bulb/ballast with e55 shrouds. Doing them yourself? Curious to see how they turn out

Re: Need Opinions On New Retrofit

You know that actually funny you say that cuz i almost went with the e55's but like the vent style on the G37-R. My coworker does custom retrofitting from home as a little side job he enjoys it. He's done probably a dozen or so vehicles already. He's the guru on all this stuff so he just told me he ordered Morimoto H1 Mini projector. He's not on this forum but he does have hid own facebook page called Retrofix Lighting where you can find a few pictures of what he's done.

Re: Need Opinions On New Retrofit

Cool, yeah I've been looking into retros since I got my car, and like the bixenons because it has high beams built in. Morimotos are really nice. I figured retrofitting them myself was the same price as new OEM headlights if I use a set of the black bezel depos

Grrr just got bad news my shrouds are on backorder but at least that gives me more time to refurb my headlights. Im gonna hook up the Halo's to my parking lights so i can turn em on and off as i please.

Re: Need Opinions On New Retrofit

right now i have ebay halogen projectors, and the halos on them are the parking lights. its cool looking, but i cant see much, output is terrible even with an $80 set of silverstars. i like the e55 shroud because it has that halo look to it, and i like the oval shape.

Re: Need Opinions On New Retrofit

Yea my buddy who does the retrofits is highly against those! They look cool but like you said they have garbage output and the saying is true for vehicle lights the more you spend on them the better quality you get.
