Stubby antenna

Once my stock antenna bit the dust I replaced it with a cheap autozone antenna. I never really liked it, but it worked. Anyhow, I finally got around to replacing it with what I wanted. It's not an S2k antenna, but it gets the job done. I can actually use one of those screw on type replacements you see all over the place if I want.

I used the Metra 44-UA46.

Re: Stubby antenna

Did it just screw on to the existing coaxial?
My antenna broke a long long time ago, and I have been just using my ipod and cds..lol.
This is what I'm looking for, how much was it?

Re: Stubby antenna

You have to remove the old assembly completely from inside the trunk. Motor and all. The antenna cable is universal, so it will be plug and play from that point. There is a nut that tightens from inside the trunk and holds the antenna tight against the car. I got it from Amazon for about $30. I like it.
