Engine bay colours? Need help deciding

Hey i am new to preludes and PZ, i amthinking of painting my manifold cover and also my intake piping. Just need some thoughts on colour combination. I was thinking all bright cherry red with white lettering and cherry red piping.

(just bought this prelude 1995 SRV-V-tec, so sorry about the engine bay looking pretty dirty)

be careful of using white..... it tends to yellow when exposed to excess heat.

Re: Engine bay colours? Need help deciding

Gun metal will blend in too much I think.

If you want to go cherry red, why not silver lettering or polishing the existing lettering up and clear coating over it?

Wrinkle paint the valve cover red. Then paint the mani cover silver. Then the intake tube, wrap it in thermo reflective tape.

this is a good idea. my vc is powder coated gunmetal and it's just blah. the letters are polished and cleared. it's kind of boring. I think red would look dope.

the mani silver and the intake w/ black header wrap would look awesome too!

why do people put a " - " in VTEC? its not a motherfukking math equation.
V-TEC=X
solve for X

Yeah that seems like it would look pretty cool, but instead of the reflective tape i would put black header wrap.

You put X by itself so you already solved for X.....

does wrapping the air intake in header wrap help anything performance wise?

X = 1 dude who found a tampon in his cheerios! So comes on here to be that ONE guy that just simply knows it all! (not the origonal post but 2nd post)

Im not going to lie when i wanted the h22 swap when i first got the prelude, i think i mis-spelled it 15 times on google prior before learning. my mind just naturally went with TECH since thats short for so many career jobs lol. afterwards I felt like an idiot So any time someone miss spells it i just simply say it in quotation marks. (one time this one dude butchered it and said i need a new VTECH CELLANOID and thats the first time i think i actually laughed when soem one put it lmao!!

Has anyone used PlastiDip under the hood yet? How's it react to non-direct engine heat?

I used it on my spark plug cover and its been fine besides when some oil dripped on it, it kindof ate into it but before that it was just fine.
