oxidation on hood!

So i just bought a 5th gen lude 2 months ago and i got it for a really good price but the reason why it was so good was because the paint on the car was oxidating and the worse part is on the hood. Was wondering if you can save this? i have read onlione that you can buffer it out with strong polishing compound but i don't know if it too late to save.

Re: oxidation on hood!

Sorry mate, that's respray material.

Yes you can correct paint oxidisation if you get to it quick enough but that's too far gone.

Re: oxidation on hood!

That's pretty bad, but you might as well try. Get a wool pad with some Meguiars M105.

Paint is damaged beyond repair, it'll have to be resprayed.
