Paint Job

Alright guys, I have always loved the look of satin black. I am going to satin black my lude. It is a nice color blue but the paint is chipping everywhere and looks bad up close. I am going to prep it up and go for the hot rod Black look. Rat Rod hot Rod whatever you wanna call it. I want this look. Could I flat black it then clear it and make this look? Or could I just mix some clear in the flat? Or?? Whats my options?

This is the look I want.

Re: Paint Job

There are matte finish clearcoats to achieve exactly what you're looking for.

PlastiDip your car :D

Seriously, a dude with a turboed Camaro did it here. I think it's kinda cool. That way, if you don't like it, just peel it off!

Lindso- Funny you mention that. A buddy of mine from another forum just done some of his fourwheeler parts with that stuff. That stuff is a craze lately huh?

Re: Paint Job

I love the matte black look personally. There's something slick and just evil looking about it. I hear it's quite a pain to paint on though and will show all of your mistakes off if you're not careful.

If you do it, you should get some solid black rims, 20% tint all the way around, and a black vibrant muffler. Straight up murder that ****.
