To Paint or Not to Paint?

Ive been thinking about painting my wheels black, they are currently white. Im so sick of cleaning them to only 2 hours later seeing them dirty again.. and im thinking black would look better. Just though id get some opinions.. so lets hear it. Thanks!

Re: To Paint or Not to Paint?

Black wheels look like ass IMO. White wheels are worth the effort it takes to keep them clean.

Re: To Paint or Not to Paint?

Isn't there some kind of coating they sell at auto parts stores that is designed to keep brake dust from sticking to rims? I'm sure it would keep other stuff off too. You should maybe look into it.

Re: To Paint or Not to Paint?

You got white wheels what did you think was gonna happen?

I am with the other guys, become a wheel whore and just buy another set if you want black. As soon as you powder coat those ones (or paint) you'll wish they were white again. I also disagree that black wheels look like ass, and UPSluder's car looks damn good in his sig with black wheels if you ask me..

Re: To Paint or Not to Paint?

Im kind of the opposite. I don't like white wheels. Just reminds me too much all the magazines I had in high school with the riced out blingin' rides with white wheels. Not saying that's what yours looks like, your car looks clean. White wheels are just tainted to me. BTW black wheels aren't easy to keep clean AT ALL!

I don't like gloss black wheels cause they look tacky and get dirty easy... but I don't like matte black wheels cause they always look filthy.

Re: To Paint or Not to Paint?

All good points.. I love my white wheels also. Thats one of the things i liked most about this car when i got it. It just gets so frustrating when i clean them and then 2 hours later theyre already dirty..

Ill just have to keep dealing with it

Thanks everyone for the opinions!
