paint jobs

im not asking where are good places to get it done, but after getting my pay check today and a combination of finding a dent in my car ive decided to get a paint job in the spring. the question is wat kind of quotes so i look for. ive gone to places and theyve told me 1500. is this wat i should be expecting for a normal stock paint job? this includes body work.

Re: paint jobs

1500 is a pretty reasonable price from what i gather. I've been told any where from 2000 to 3500 for paint and fixing a couple of dings, and i have a CF hood and trunk, so those won't get paint.

Re: paint jobs

1500 is going to be a cheap paint job.. I dont know what you are looking for but the right way is to remove EVERYTHING.. door handles, glass, molding etc..

-all parts removed and stripped

Re: paint jobs

Car looks good Flip.

I would get more then one quote and tell them exactly what you want done so there is no miscommunication, that is how they get by on not doing certain things. "Well you never mentioned that when we agreed on the price.." You don't want to hear that later on. Paint ain't cheap man, especially when your cars being treated right. Flips right talk to a few different shops and find out what's the real deal in your area. I just read another thread around here somewhere that a guy (in some city) is doing jobs cheaper because the economy is so messed up so you just might find a good deal, just make sure they aren't skimping on quality because the deal is too good.
