Matte black paintjob for my 92' prelude

Anyone know how much would a matte black paintjob would cost for my prelude , and do you think its going to look nice because my buddy just got his skyline matte black and it looks insane.

Re: Matte black paintjob for my 92' prelude

Depends on the shape of your car. Body work is the big portion of whats going to cost you. im sure matte black paint is cheap. But it will show literally any small miniscule imperfection.

my body shape is pretty good but i got alot of stone chips on the hood/right fender/ and bumper. I paid about 500$ to get all the rust removed from the 1/4 panels. you think the stone chips will be a big issue?

Re: Matte black paintjob for my 92' prelude

my personal opinion, i wouldn't do it. i'm just not a fan of matte finishes especially on preludes. but if it floats your boat, go for it.

Re: Matte black paintjob for my 92' prelude

What kind of price range are you looking to spend, cause all 3 of those colors will cost different amounts. Pearl white will be the pricest and you'll probably spend close to $1k give or take just for paint supplies, milano red you'll spend about $300-$400 for paint supplies(cheaper paint brand), Matte black will probably be the cheapest if you do it as a single stage paint.

I was thinking around 500$ dollars but 1k for pearl white is really cheap because i went to my mechanic and he was like 4k for the paintjob i wanted to get matte black because its really cheap and i like the look of it.
