Icon9 H Emblem removal, Super glued on! >:(

I recently had my car painted, after an accident I was in. Anyway, I took it to Maaco.. And to begin with, I wasn't very impressed with the work they did. They sanded my marker lights, some parts on my windshields, some of my weatherstripping, and my tail lights. Put a nice new dent in my left fender, and left a little bondo on my left door that was painted over.. It's not the worst job, but it's not the best. Anyway...

I know this falls under badge removal, but this one seems tricky.

They superglued on my front H emblem, and I'm wondering what would be my best options to remove it without messing up the new paint, and sanding down the glue to where my new emblems will fit flat.
I have a feeling dental floss won't take care of this.. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Yeah, I see that now.

Next time it will be worth it to spend a little bit more, for a better job.

Removing Super Glue | Super Glue Corporation Hope that link gives you an idea of what can be used. You can also try Don't Look For Super Glue Remover Until You've Read This! or wd40. It sounds like either way it may end up not so pretty

Thanks for the link DeadLeprechaun.
I also found a link that says Mr.Clean Magic Eraser should do the job. And Acetone was said to remove the glue aswell. Both products may remove the glue, just use at your own risk pretty much.

I'm planning on using the Mr.Clean magic eraser, and maybe a little nail polish remover.
I'll have to take pictures to show you how it turns out.

Re: H Emblem removal, Super glued on! >:(

Well, I ended up mostly using a razor. The glue was too thick and raised that it was just tearing the Mr.Clean Magic Eraser up. So I broke it down with the razor, then used the eraser to clean whatever was left. I didn't take many pictures, cause it was a fast job with few steps. But, here is before and after. New JDM red H emblems installed over the mess.
