Icon6 Ap1 wheels.... Check!

So I got a set of ap1 rims in prime condition for $100. One of my buddies didn't want them sitting in garage anymore. Only problem rear wheels with 225/55/16 wheels rub on the knuckle so I gotta change the tires to 205/50/16 for them to fit properly. But to answer all questions! A FULL SET OF AP1 RIMS FIT PERFECTLY ON A LUDE. With the right tires. So here's some pics:

where it rubbed:

planning on painted the rims black or flat bronze don't know yet.

Re: Ap1 wheels.... Check!

You may want to go 215/50/16 on the rears since the rim's a bit wider

That may be true but I was always under the impression you needed 4 front wheels.

He established that you don't need 4 fronts you can use a regular set and change the tires on the back set.

I believe that was the point. Maybe you already knew you could use a regular set but this might be news to some.

Do the AP2 rear wheels fit as well, with the right tire of course?

Re: Ap1 wheels.... Check!

Looking good Twisty55

I also have a set of Ap1 on my car and they fit fine, no rubbing. But mine is a 4th gen.

I have 205/50/16 on the front and 225/50/16 on the rear.

In the rear I have wheel spacers. Don't remember how wide they were but if you are interested I can find out and let you know. Maybe 1/2" or less.

The previous owner did the 5 lug conversion and putted the Ap1 on so I'm assuming the wheel spacers were necessary to avoid rubbing.

Re: Ap1 wheels.... Check!

Hey thanx bro. I thought about putting spacers on the rear wheels. But I don't have money to buy two new 225/55/16 tires because the rear tires on the ap1 rims are bold as fawk. As you can see in the pic. So Ima have a slightly stretched tire on the rear with 205/50/16.

Re: Ap1 wheels.... Check!

Those are so nice, god I love those wheels. Sooo much better than RSX-S wheels in my opinion, that is if you're looking for a stock Honda wheel to put on your lude

Nice! Is it better to run reverse staggered on FWD?

Re: Ap1 wheels.... Check!

Not to sure, but from what I have read, putting the bigger rear tires in the rear will cause understeer.
