gen 3 lowered 2.5inches, rims??

title pretty well states it, theese are probably going to be the last things going on my project but what will be the biggest rim size to fit under the gen 3 with the 2.5 inch lowering springs, 17?

also will a body kit fit on this thing, im looking at one of the anddy's auto body kits when i get to the point of finishing the project up with new rims, kit, paint

Search and ye shall find. This is a freebe, don't expect somebody else to do all the leg work again. Recommended Tire size & Offsets! The answers to your question is in there.

Bodykits as a general rule don't fit well, esp when constructed from fibreglass. Research how they're made and you'll work out why pretty quickly.

Re: gen 3 lowered 2.5inches, rims??

i wasn't asking tire sizes, im asking if they will fit with the the 2.5 inch lowering springs.
205/40ZR17 tires <<< already know they fit stock but i want someones take on the 2.5 drop as i'm not sure on the clearance of theese tires stock, and would rather noth be ordering in things for test fitting

15s have wheel gap stock. 17s have very little wheel gap stock. you lower 2.5 inches, you better have high offset rims to tuck in.

Re: gen 3 lowered 2.5inches, rims??

tires is all about the aspec ratios. for example. I had like 205/50/16. The 50 is the aspect ratio. Thus, I went to a 205/45/16. I went down 5% on the aspect ratio.

Aspect ration simply means that the side wall of the tire is 45% of the tire width (width of the tread) SO when you lower the aspect ration your taking LESS of the tirewidth measurement and slapping it on the side. You can learn alot more about this on tirerack.com

really though. Keep the rims you have. they lasted on your third gen for atleast 20 years. keep em! I was lowered 2.5-2.75 and i was able to use my stock tires with lower tires. Rode fine. just remember. if you go TOO low pro it starts to feel like your driving the flinstone mobile!
