Black Backed badges???

Hey like the title says, Black Backed badges, where do you find them? and which ones do i get, like which car are they off of?

i know i've seen them on different sites, but i never know which ones to get. like which ones will go on the stock places on the lude. (honestly not even sure how they are mounted.. lol)

Thanks
Nick

I just removed my Stock "H"s and painted them black. Cost a whole $3 and I didnt have to worry about shipping.

Nooo...they are held on from the factory with adhesive(at least mine were...). reallllly thin double sided tape is what I got from the dealer, they said thats what they use to re-apply badges. Seeing as I get the stuff for free, its what I did. There are two pins, but no breaking is necessary. Just uset he standard rules for taking any decal or sticker or whatnot off of your car. I used a hair dryer and some goo gone and I didn't have much trouble at all.

As for the black backed badges I know they are on ebay. And I have only seen em on ebay in my experience...but then again I never looked very hard. Just take your badge off and paint it(I know that you physically cant atm but yea...). That will last longer than an ebay badge if done right. I hear that those badges tend to fade and look like **** fairly fast...but again, thats just IME...

that second link you posted wont work, lookin at the pics of the back of the badges the rear emblem wont work, our rear emblems have two holes but they are aligned vertically.

Re: Black Backed badges???

h22sh97 has got it. The later model S2000s were available with body colour backing for the badges. How this was drastically different from a H in a box with the body behind the badge is beyond me, but hey if we can think of it then we can charge people who think it's a good idea.

Find out if the locating pins on the S2000 badges will work, as posted earlier we have two locating holes that are about 17-20mm apart horizontally. Some locate vertically. Also note that the S2000 badges are a different size to the Prelude ones, and the shape of the box around the [H] is slightly different.
