How do YOU clean/detail your car?

I am just curious as to how everyone cleans and details their cars. Maybe we could all use some tips and some insight!

What I do is first wash it. I do wheels and tires first! then I soak one side and wash and rinse off. I do this step one side at a time. Then i dry EVERYTHING! I dry body, door jambs, trunk, gas cap, under hood, and finally wheels and tires. I then vacuum everything inside and out. Then comes the quick detailer which I apply to the entire car except windows. Then I dress the tires with insane shine. If needed I will clay the entire car and wax it. Then I clean windows with window cleaner.

When I am really into cleaning I polish all plastics on the exterior and keep everything bright and glossy!

If anyone has any questions on products I use just let me know!

Brad

^^^ Same process but I use the "black box" to shine it up the body. It really brings back the black on faded parts. Recommend that product to all black prelude owners.

i use meguiars gold wash, then i use the cleaner wax then for the rims is use the hot rim cleaner. I use armor all on the interior plastic and lexol on the leather seats. To finish the outside i use a kit i bought from honda its a glass cleaner, polisher and plastic rubber cleaner. then to clean the gunk off my engine i use honda-brite. then i take a rest and stand back an look at it :-)

Re: How do YOU clean/detail your car?

Is not that complicated for me

Wash it very well

Clay the whole thing

Polish it

Wax it

do the wheels and add the other crap for the glass and whatnot

I vacum the inside, clean any obvious problems, treat the leather

wipe down the vinyl with something etc

Re: How do YOU clean/detail your car?

i drive out alot to my girlfriends who lives off of dirt roads so i wash my car atleast once a week to keep her lookin good.

what i do, takes 4 and a half hours.....

rince all dust/sand/mud off my car.

i use armoral wash.

rince, and wash again (to make sure i get it all)

i take a vegi brush and scrub the rims, and exaughst (to near perfect shine)

use a shami to dry the car.

i use maguires wax.

then turtle wax polish, as well as turtle wax chrome polish (removes rust and dirt from chrome finishes)

then i vacume.

final step, i armoral the interrior and tires

=)
