Airbrushed Touch-Up?

OK, so after a trip to the stealership, I thought it would be a good idea to pick up a bottle of some R81 touch-up paint. When i got home, I circled the car and notated the location of all the scratches on my body. Long story short, I found several scratches, as well as a bumper that has been aged into a pinkish red. But when I went to use the brush supplied, I found that it left a uneven coat on the scratch.

So my question is, if I used an airbrush kid I have tucked away in my closet somewhere, would I be able to apply a more even coat? or should i just learn to accept that I will always have scratches? Has anyone attempted this before? If not, ill try to put together a write-up or at least keep PO posted on whether or not this was a success.
