To red badge or not to red badge?

Was at the car wash today, and while scrubing down the hood my front badge broke off. So I thought, what an opportune time to buy some red badges.
I found these knock off ones on ebay. Normally I'm not a fan of buy cheap parts, but I don't have the cash right now from JDM ones. So what do you guys think?

The fake ones will fade and water will possibly leak through them if they aren't sealed well, which they generally aren't.

Hmm, the fading part doesn't bother me. I'm hopefully going to only have them on there for about a year. Once the motor, suspension, and auto-trans swap are all done I'll work on the body and put a carbon fiber hood and trunk on and keep 'em clean of all badges. I just can't stand looking at the two holes that are there right now.
I don't like the sound of it leaking though.

Re: To red badge or not to red badge?

lmao those are hilarious. Now as for the ebay ones. I agree with the chance of them leaking and fading. But i mean for what 20 bucks; i dont think you have much to lose. Whats the worse that happens, they leak and your out 20 bucks. Plus there is the chance they might work out perfect.

Re: To red badge or not to red badge?

they are also bigger than you think they will be
add another 1/8-1/4" to EACH SIDE, TOP, AND BOTTOM, and that's what you will be getting.
there pretty damn big and they don't line up evenly with the hood or trunk.

(buddy of mine just got them and they didn't look to hot)

Mine definitely lined up, but I got the S2K replica emblems. They might be different.

Well I just ordered them. For $12 I can't be too upset if they end up sucking. I'll post back once I get them and put them on.
