paint

well i know the cost of your typical paint job depends on where you go and stuff like that but i was wondering if anybody can give me a price range of how much it would cost to paint the exterior, engine bay, and interior.

Re: paint

Well my friend, I am getting my car painted right now and I went to a lot of place to find good estimates.

About $6000 - $12000
Most of it is going to be labor on removing moldings, mirrors, door handles, etc.
Since you want engine bay to be painted, they are going to have to remove everything in your engine bay too. You can save a lot of money by prepping the car yourself, but that's so much work >_<

The other factor is paint. If you are getting anything in candy or pearl, you will pay more.

What color were you interested in?

Re: paint

personally if I were you bro I'd save your money and paint the car whatever color it was from the factory so you don't have to worry about the engine bay, door jambs etc. IMO

Unless of course you have the money and are really set, then yea, expect to pay top dollar and don't cheap out. Always ask to meet the painter/ see some other cars they have painted. If they have a problem with that just walk out the door. A good paint shop would let you sit around all day and watch them work( well ok that's an exaggeration but you get the point...) Good luck bro! what color do you plan to do?
