Re: help with window water spots..

I would imagine It's just hard water, from sprinklers and S***. Maybe try some CLR, LIBERALLY! Not sure if it would screw up the paint if it dribbled, but from past expirerience with CLR It's pretty brutal stuff...be careful and good luck

Re: help with window water spots..

I use a waterless carwash for this exact reason.

Re: help with window water spots..

believe it or not, and i can't remember where i read it, steel wool and a high quality window cleaner really helped out my windows a lot.

Re: help with window water spots..

I use the Rain-X window cleaner (Not straight Rain-X) and newspaper. Possibly the oldest trick in the book but it works.

Re: help with window water spots..

Do you mean the hard water spots that just wont come off? Or are you getting these spots after you wash your car and it's not dried properly? If they are the kind that just wont come off no matter what you do, try Bioclean it works wonders!

Re: help with window water spots..

The guy who owned my lude used to spray it off in the morning but never dried it off and it etched deep water spots in the glass. I had to use microfinish car polish and a buffer in stages to remove them. After that I used mothers wax and they were gone. It took a while though so don't rush. Try to do it over a couple days so you don't damage the glass. If they are real deep you'll unfortunately have to replace them. Good luck.

The Rain-X is definitely a good way to get rid of those water spots/streaks, etc. I use it once a month.

Re: help with window water spots..

I use the 2 in 1 RAIN-X cleaner to clean the window (duh), then apply the normal RAIN-X and let it dry n followed by buffing it off. As a final additive I fill my washer fluid with that RAIN-X bottle (orange color)!!!

Cant get anymore RAIN-X then that!!! And my window is as clean as FUKK!!
