Icon5 Lip kit or not?

I just got a 2000 prelude sh and it happen to have coilovers that made the car lower. I was just wondering if i should get a lip kit or not cause i dont want to be dragging everywhere i go but i really want a lip kit it makes the car look better

Re: Lip kit or not?

Do you think the coilovers would make it drag the ground if i got some kind of lip kit?

Re: Lip kit or not?

Are they adjustable coilovers? If so you could always get the lip and raise it a bit if you had too... Lips look good, im gonna be gettin either the greddy or a p1 style.

Re: Lip kit or not?

well the thing is the previous owner had them installed so i really dont know if they are adjustable or not unless there is a way to tell. I was really looking at getting the greddy style to

Re: Lip kit or not?

Look on the inside of the spring seat if theres a section thats threaded its adjustable. You'll have to find out what brand they are cuz most companys have their own tool to raise and lower the spring..if not, i wouldnt want to waste the money on a lip if its just gonna scrape everything. Especially the Greddy... Theres always a bittersweet factor in having lowered cars.

Re: Lip kit or not?

Are you sure about the eibach? there is a company called ground control, Eibach spings come in different series i.e. pro, pro plus, sportline... and they ushually come with their own shocks depending on the kit. Double check before you buy anything.

Re: Lip kit or not?

I will say that I love those year preludes without any lip kit. I do think maybe a little something could give it that extra look you might want.

alright.. post a pic of yor ride and Ill tell you if itll scrape or not.. most likely it wont, because a lip kit aint a body kit... but unless you have a 4 inch drop, then its a diff story

Re: Lip kit or not?

Just don't drive like a moron and it'll be okay, meaning don't bottom out really hard.

The lip kit looks good, but I prefer it without on most days. Sometimes I wish I had one, but that's one of the standard mods people do, and it almost stands out even more without it than it does with.
