Changing hood

Hey everyone I just got my carbon seibon carbon fiber hood. But I'm just wondering how hard it was to change the hoods. It looks farily simple just looks like you need to take off some bolts but just wondering how hard it would be to align the hood so it doesnt hit the fenders?
Anyone have any info on this from previous experience?
Thanks

Re: Changing hood

Do u have a bb6 or bb4? when i put my cf hood on my bb6 i had to lower my hood hinges slightly then raise my hood latch a bit just crack those bolts n raise it n u should be good..n if u want a "tighter" fit try loossin the fender bolts n move em towards the hood for better body lines no gaps..n i recommend good hood locks dont use the pin ones get the key hood locks cuz ya hood will fly off ya effin car n then ull have more problems

Re: Changing hood

there will be minimal adjusting to get the same amount of gap on both sides. leave two of the bolts loose, and the other two (one on each side) just tight enough so the hood will remain in its desired position once you align it correctly. its not too hard.

Re: Changing hood

Did you install the hood pins yourself? I have some but am hesitant to do it myself from all the horror stories. and none of the performance shops are willing to be responsible for a mistake.

Re: Changing hood

i'm thinking about get a c.f hood, is seibon definately the way to go? what else is recommended? and what's the best place to order from? I'm getting money from insurance for some nasty hail damage a few weeks ago... and if you know of a good place to get a new truck lid that would help too.
