painting window trim?

I have a 99 base and Im sure Im not the only one on here that has faded/cracking window trim with metal showing underneath. anybody ever removed the rest and repainted it? do they make a type of paint for that purpose?

thanks

Re: painting window trim?

just make sure you get all the old stuff off or the new paint will chip off just as quickly.

Re: painting window trim?

If you an get a very fine sand paper you can sand them down and they will look like new.
But if the metal is showing then they will probably need replaced.

Take em off, sand em down and paint them. I did mine with spray paint, worked fine looks good starting to chip now but its been about 4 years...
