Pinstripes

Okay.. well last week an old lady hit my car while I was driving.. guess shes blind cause she pulled out of a driveway head first... kinda sad.. Well to the point, my lude got some red metallic pinstripes dated maybe about 1995-97 installed according to the auto collision owner.. so he told me I could get almost any pinstripe out there and they would reimbursed it, because it basically got screwed up a bit. OR I can get it fully removed buffed out and look like it was never there.. Now I want some opinions, because I do plan to do some exterior mods and the pinstripe might look kinda of tacky.. or wont match...

Ext. mods.
carbon fiber hood
carbon fiber trunk (this is a maybe because I'm not sure if i wanna get rid of my rear spoiler.....)
Carbon fiber front lip ( I think it's that spoon looking one not sure)
Accord rear lip
then paint the rear and side lips the same granada black
Gunmetal rims with polished lip ( just to give you guys the idea of the color)

My opinions is that the pinstripe basically wont match... as much unless i pull out some red lugnuts..or get a fully diff color pinstripes, but pinstripes was just a phase wasn't like its still in style.. so iono.. HELPPPP got till Tuesday to decide..

the collision dude said hes also gonna redo my sunroof and get rid of the bubbles while they paint my fender and bumper

Ill post up some pics in a few hours.. gotta get my camera back from my girls house

Goddamn I just used my sisters like 1g camera **** is ****in amazing compared to little digital craps.. seriously madd clear

Re: Pinstripes

just for some info...

you wont get a lot of responses on the weekends here... it moves pretty slow.

IMO get rid of the stip
They don't look that great especially with the modifications you are doing later.

Re: Pinstripes

Pin striping was never my thing. Unless it was a custom pin stripe paint job like on those lowriders

No but in all seriousness, I find pin striping pretty ugly. It accents the body lines of the car sometimes, but most often its just really ugly and doesn't look right. I say off with it. I've removed all pin striping from all of my vehicles.

Re: Pinstripes

i'd say no to the pinstripes...your car will look better without them, especially if you carry out all of the mods you are planning on.

Holy Crap! What was she driving? A Humvee??? I like it without it but that's my opinion. Sorry for your fender bender - Good Karma to ya for not cracking the little old blind lady's head!

yea I'm getting rid of it guys :D I'm a have it lowered by hopefully in june when I renew my insurance and rack some cash up

The lady was driving a 2004 Toyota Camry, I actually saw her the other day on teh road when my girl was driving.. lady sucks at driving, she seemed so lost.. this is why I say there should be a max age or have a recurring driving test to see if you are able to drive on the road... old people can't drive and SOME younger kids can't drive no offense.. but people don't learn till they get into a major accident.. one of my good friends learned speeding the hard way.. he passed away about 8 months ago for going 100 in a 350z at a 45 mph curve...sad though
