Dyno Day!

Well me and my local PreludeAustralia.com pals organised a dyno day on Saturday. Here's my take on it

Anyways, after that note, here's some pics

Falcon looks mean as in the rear view

Here was our playfield for the day

The beemer filled the entire shed with fumes thanks to open exhaust

Functional shaker looks the goods, produces it as well

Matt DC showing off the perfect ride height for a fifth gen

Big Legend made Prelude numbers despite the big 3.2L V6

Trent's car looking good at it's first PA meet in a year

Tyson's DC2 made 95kW out of his B18

Now this is the cause of the over inflated egos that Nissan drivers all seem to have

The dynos read a huge amount higher when the tyre is only on one roller. That's what Shane meant by the dyno guy not testing it properly

Yeah well, my Honda has 5 turbos compared to the R34's 2. Hondas are the fastest cars ever.

AWD Dyno, that must have cost them a big chunk of cash. That white Lude looks great with that drop.

None of the cars have JDM fenders (well, except for the low volume import skywhines) that's how they come, certified for the ADR (essentially DOT approval). White lude runs Pedders shocks with Eibach springs.

I didn't dyno mine this time (which is why there aren't any pics) but I did when we had our last dyno day there last March. My number was 101kW, which is pretty good for a stock auto, the white lude runs a CAI and catback and made 110 driving through it's 5 speed, and the silver fifth gen made the same and that's just a pod filter (standard piping) and a VAFC with a 5 speed.

Oh and Easter, the R34 runs a practically stock RB25 DET = single turbo buddy. Only mods were an intake and larger exhaust and intercooler.

Haha a 4 door Skyline, Never seen one before.
Why do the Ausi's get the cool muscle cars (Falcon, Commodore SS-V).

Because they (Falcon and Commodore) are made here, the local branches of GM and Ford won't allow the sale of the US made front wheel drive sh!tbox family sedans. The only one to be sold here was the second series Taurus, which was the greatest failure in Ford Australia's near 80 year history in this country - they sold an entire 55 of them.

The conversion rate is 1.34. Actualy there's a lot more decimal places afterwards, but I can't remember them, but 1.34 is close enough. So 110kW x1.34 = 147.4HP atw.

No vids sorry B.
