Polish Brake Calipers Part 2

Well Guys.... about a year ago i made a thread on how to polish your brake calibers like mine. It looked awesome and soon became a famous trademark to my Prelude.

http://preludezone.com/showthread.ph...olish+calibers

Well now.. I did it to my Supra. Here are some pics of the job.

Prelude Calibers: Here are some pics of when i did it to the prelude. Still sexy to this day to me.

I used the palm sander in the rear cause it was smaller. I actually used a heavy dutie sander for the front. But yea... the whole job can be completed with a palm sander.

You'll see me do it when I get the time and patience to do so. I don't have a thing to do this week so I might give it a shot. It looks way better than just painting them silver like I have right now.

I may do this while the lude's garaged for winter, along with many other maintenance needs.

damn, if I was a brake caliper, I'd beat...
looking at polishing my headlights and painting the bezels to match the car, any knowledge? would 1000 grit wet sand, scratch-x, and polisher do the job?

For yea headlights. Yes it would. I personally started with 800 then went to 1000, 2000. But thats only if you have deep scratches. You will need a high speed buffer to get the milky look out of the plastic headlights when your done.

I have a corded drill and the little polisher ball, but not sure if it'll do the job, need a buffer anyway...yea, my headlights have a couple scratches from installation so I'll give what you said a try...appreciate it man.
