Philadelphia Auto Show pics

Here are some pictures from the Philadelphia Auto Show... sorry they are bad quality... my digital camera is broken so I took them with my blackberry.

My girl in a Porsche Cayman. MSRP actually only $49k... not too bad for a Porsche

Me in the Z06 'Vette. MSRP $72k

My girl in a 350Z drop top.

SLK55 AMG

1993 Jaguar XJ220

2 Lotus Exige's

My girl in the goofy ass "smart car"

And last... but most DEFINITELY not least...

Nissan GT-R

Check out the Brembo BBK... the picture doesn't do it justice lol

They also had a sick ass S2000 CR up there, but they weren't lettin you sit in it... it made me sad lol.

There were over 700 cars... I really wish my digital camera wasn't broken.

They also had a "Tuner Salon"... but they were pretty much all rice ass scions and ****... there was 2 hot cars in the whole "tuner salon". A 911 Carrerra GT3, and a 69 Impala lowrider. The Carrerra pissed me off too, first of all... Porsches are NOT tuner cars (and neither are freakin' Impalas) lol... second of all.. the guy who owned it completely ruined it... He had like 22" chrome ass wheels on it, and two flat screens hanging from the trunk lid when you opened it, and it wasn't even like a good quality ice setup. It had amped subs but unamped components so the audio sounded like ****.. and the video quality was horrendous... he had the "Nothin' but a G-thang" video on loop... lookin and soundin like crap... what a waste of an exotic car.

They did however have the Alpine Sinister-Six in there... if you don't know what that is, google it. Ugly as sin, but kinda cool at the same time... looks like the freakin' bat-mobile.

The GT-R is going to be amazing, and gotta love the tiny lotus. I want one so bad. But Lotus doesn't make it with a k20. I know people have done a swap tho.

No need for the K20 in the new Exige S. It's got about 220bhp with a factory supercharger. You can also get it in 240hp trim with a 0-60 of 3.8 seconds and 0-100 in about 9.8 seconds... All out of a 1.8l motor (so it's probably also lighter than a k20)... The car weights about 1900 pounds I believe (a Porsche Boxter weights about 2700).

Check this out:

I dunno why it is saying that the video is unavailable... it is definitely available...

hxxp://xxx.youtube.xxx/watch?v=QEVSl5ChZ5w
Put that in your address bar, and replace the x's with t's w's and .com's as appropriate (can't post links to youtube... they come up as embedded video)

Edit: Here are the actual specs on the Exige S

According to Lotus, the Exige S model has the following specifications:

Engine:

Toyota Supplied, 1796 cc I-4, DOHC with VVTL-i (variable valve timing with lift intelligence), supercharged and intercooled
Bore/Stroke 82 mm/85 mm
218 hp (162.5 kW) @ 7800 rpm
185.6 ft·lbf (215 N·m) @ 5500 rpm
Compression ratio: 11.5:1

Transmission: 6-Speed, Close Ratio with Single-Plate Dry Clutch

Weight: 2057 lb (935 kg)

Exige S Performance:

0-62 (0-100 km/h): 4.1 seconds
0-100 mph (0-161 km/h): 9.98 seconds
Top speed: 148 mph (238 km/h)
Fuel consumption: 24 mpg–imp (11.77 L/100 km / 20 mpg–U.S.) city / 29 mpg–imp (9.74 L/100 km / 24.1 mpg–U.S.) highway

So there you have it... roughly the same amount of HP as a K20... but with even more torque.

But the k20(DC5 Type R) is NA while the Toyota is SC. Put a JRSC on that k20 and you have over 300hp.
Lotus in vid is 325ps @ 853Kg=1880.5lbs

VS

Top gear EXIGE S

Yea man. I remember way back in the day on Test Drive 4 for Playstation, I'd always get molested by the XJ220, no matter what car I chose.

The 'Vette I was in was actually just the Z06 even though it shared the same color as the ZR1 "Blue Devil" that's been floating around the internet. The ZR1 was there however, it's in the background of that pic, kinda grey looking (it was more of a tan color in person), you can see it's spoked out ass wheel... I didn't get any pictures of it because there were so many people around it, and they unfortunately weren't letting anyone sit in it =(.

The Z06, however, was by far the nicest car I've ever had the pleasure of sitting in.

Base, Z06, or ZR1, I'd take any of them.
